Details

Praised for his “spellbinding” performances with “authoritative intellect” by the Santa Barbara Voice after his performance of the Jolivet Concerto with the Music Academy of the West Festival Orchestra, twenty-one year old flutist Anthony Trionfo will make his recital debuts on the Young Concert Artists Series at the Kennedy Center as well as in New York City’s Merkin Concert Hall. Recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award in 2012, Anthony appeared on From the Top as a Featured Alumni Performer. He served as the Principal Flute of the American Youth Symphony for the 2015-2016 season. At the Young Concert Artists 2016 International Auditions, Anthony received additional prizes, including the Saint Vincent College Concert Series Prize, the Ruth Laredo Award, the Lied Center of Kansas Prize, and the Michaels Award, which supports his New York debut through Young Concert Artists at Merkin Concert Hall. He received the further distinction of being the first YCA artist to win the inaugural LP Classics Debut Recording Prize, granting him a commercial recording. yca.org/artist/anthony-trionfo
